Kalwall’s Algae Tanks Aquaculture Division has been manufacturing 90% visual-light-transmitting fiberglass tanks for over 40 years. These tanks are made from a specialized material called Sun-Lite®, a one-of-a-kind, high-performance solar glazing material from Kalwall. Sun-Lite is lightweight, shatter-resistant and can be easily handled, cut and installed to make tanks of custom sizes.

A flat-bottom tank can serve many purposes, but is ideal for algae cultivation, finfish grow-out, hydroponics, biological waste-water treatment and other general containment needs. High light transmission accelerates the growth of algae or other organisms, and you are able to see through the tank to inspect its contents.
